About

Hello! As just a little bit of an introduction, my name is Bradley Rito. I am the youngest of three sons. I was born and raised in Grosse Ile, MI, where I graduated high school in 2008. I was born, baptized, and raised in the PC(USA) with both parents serving as deacons and/or elders and as Sunday School teachers at my home church. While in high school, I was very involved in youth group (and church in general), band (jazz, marching, symphony, and wind ensemble), the theater program, and S.A.D.D. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Central Michigan University in May 2012, majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and minoring in Religion. I am currently in the ordination process in the PC(USA), under the care of my home church’s Session and the Committee on Preparation for Ministry of the Presbytery of Detroit. I finished his Masters of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in June 2015. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, playing games (board, card, and video), watch TV and movies, playing piano and ocarina, and hang out with friends. I published my first novel, A Balanced Apocalypse, in December 2013, and I intend to begin work on both my next novel and my first collection of poetry sometime in the next year. I have always enjoyed doing mission work and have gone on seven mission trips; four with my youth group as a high school student to various points in the U.S. (including New Orleans in 2006) and the Mexican Border, one to the Mexican Border in my first year of seminary as an educational experience, and two as a young adult to various points in the U.S.  I look forward to the year ahead and all that God has placed in store for it (and to not having to deal with snow :P).
